right for your client’s legal proceedings. Here are some things that you need
to keep in mind while searching for a court reporter.

certifications to be a registered court reporter by the National Court
Reporters’ Association (NCRA). If you need Realtime reporting then you need to
make sure that your Court Reporter is a Certified Realtime Reporter (CRR). A court
reporter needs to have a minimum word per minute (wpm) speed to be certified
and at very high accuracy.
Requirements: If you have any special
requirements for your case then you need find a specific court reporter that
can satisfy your requirements. If you need to go through a deposition then a
deposition court reporter, which is trained to make proper video depositions,
is what you need. Then there are CART reporters who provide Realtime
transcription services and so on.
Neutrality: The court
reporter you choose should have neutral views which are free from any external
& personal influence. As the records that are created are official records
for everyone, the records must be free from being biased.
